Grant Evaluator & Application Support
I am registered in the pool of expert evaluators for research grants given out by the European Commission. I have long experience with successfully writing funding applications to regional, national and international funders (Norwegian Research Council, Norwegian Arts Council, Freedom of Experession Foundation, Pro Helvetia, FRAME, etc.) This gives me a wide range of experience in both writing and evaluating funding applications. Examiner & Censor
I work as an external examiner and censor for higher education institutions, both on Bachelor and Master level. Fields of expertise are visual art and art history, with a focus on photography, video art/new media and Nordic/circumpolar art. For references please consult the ABOUT page.
Teaching
I have been teaching art history during my PhD fellowship at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø, with a particular focus on Arctic art and culture, photography and video art/new media, photobooks, Arctic art, provenance research and new media at universities across Europe.
My curatorial practice builds on rigorous research, long-term artist relationships and an expansive international network. My curatorial practice is internationally oriented and versatile. However, my expertise lies primarily on photography and new media, research-based and Nordic/circumpolar art.

I have long-term experience from managing large exhibition projects and leading cultural institutions, such as as artistic and managing director of Fotogalleriet, Oslo, three subsequent Berlin Biennales (3rd, 4th, and 5th) and Documenta11.
